easy peasy no fail ganache

3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
8 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
Place the cream in a small heavy saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring.
Place the chocolate in a large mixing bowl.
Pour the hot cream over the chocolate.
Stir until the chocolate is melted.
You can use the ganache as a glaze or filling. To use as glaze, let sit for 10 minutes and spoon over a cooled cake. To use as a filling, let sit for about 4 hours and it will thicken and become a fudgy, chocolaty, yummy filling for your cake. If you make this first, then your cake, it should time out just right to assemble.
